Ken Wilber’s comment on your book was a blessing to you, I’m sure; but I already knew you were brilliant! Love, love, love ya! Eileen
Thanks Ms. Eileen. I appreciate your love and support. Shine bright little sister. ad
Alan:
Your timing is perfect! I so enjoyed the Ram Daas article! I am delving a bit more on
the spritiual aspects of Hindu. After all the years of spiritual study I find it to be a very green, environmentally friendly, and and non-violent approach. More importantly, I also came to the same truths Ram Daas came to when I was running
many therapy groups in the hospitals. I realized real healing is not from my interventions or even other groups members offering of help or advice. That level of healing was coming from the PRESENCE of all of us hearing the stories of pain or trauma. I only created the space for this to happen. I came to this from my experience also many years ago! To remember this is the practice!
Hi Alan
Lovely to have you join me today Monday 2 April – a beaut, sunny day in South East UK.
I wanted to thank you and say how much I enjoyed the Dance of the Tao: Tai Chi clip. It was very beautiful, especially so with the ‘headings’ above – I don’t know, seemed to make the moves more relevant, seeing the ‘connection’.
Have a wonder-filled week.
Love Teresa
Thank you Alan, I too love to read your newsletters to send to me. Congratulations on your new deals and courses and I wish you much more everyday.
michelle
Michelle; thanks for your kind words. I am feeling the love all the way to Peveto Place. I am so happy you love the e-news. I do my best to make it useful and helpful. Keep shining bright…ad
Hi Alan
Good article on the foods and I agree with everything except the salmon. It may have been healthy at one time but I think the pollution outweighs the pros when it comes to consuming it. If you must make sure it is wild salmon and not farmed. That being said I don’t eat seafood except those rare occasions I will eat tuna in a can. I am still waiting for the tuna can to proclaim dolphin free instead of dolphin safe. Sometimes I wonder. The closest I come to seafood and the benefits of omega 3 is in cod liver oil (purified) three times a week. It is a lot less expensive and more convenient. You can also use fish oil but the Vit A and D is a plus in the winter.
Oatmeal also holds well in the fridge . Add water and microwave to heat. You can stir in a tablespoon of preserves if you like or while cooking add raisins and/ or dried cranberries. Stay away from the presweetened oatmeal .
Mike, excellent points.
I am so conditioned to buy wild salmon, I don’t even think about buying farm raised. Living across the street form Wholefoods (literally) makes it easy. I also love to boil a big pot of steel crushed oatmeal and keep the leftovers in the fridge. I tend to use organic blue agave nectar or maple syrup in my oats. Yum…
Thanks for the tips…ad
I was grateful to see your newsletter in my inbox this morning! You have a way of expressing yourself…it’s always an experience, a connection for me. Very special. Much love to you!
Hi Alan,
I was one of the many watching Margaret’s 3-day event by live stream and I was ecstatic to see you there and have the opportunity to pass on some of your wisdom. There was great energy all around.
And on your own forum, the website and newsletters I always find a nugget that encourages me consider a new way of looking at things and I am loving making my way through Body Brillance. Thank you, thank you for writing it.
Your neighbor in Houston,
Laura Dillard
Hey, Laura; Thanks for your kind words. Glad the live stream for Ignite had the high-voltage that I felt in Fort Lauderdale. Although you live streamers did miss the morning movement segments each morning. We ROCKED it. Happy you are enjoying Body Brilliance…Shine on. ad
I think that we are blessed in so many ways that we take it all for granted-
Thanks for the inspiration you bring all of us!
We love you!
just simpley thankyou very much have sent for the execises an put the 10 rules on fav to print out later, if thats ok? cath
Loved the piece from Dan Pink. He nailed it perfectly and I can attest to the truth of the article.
Do you mean going barefoot when you’re out and about or just in the house and garden?
“Living from the cosmic center of deep peace.” That’s perfect Alan. “Phenomenal Cosmic Power, in an itty bitty living space” (Aladdin referring to the genie)
ahhh….more seriously..thank you! I love the wisdom you share.
Interesting point that was brought up in Maimonides was the claim that the US gives less as a percentage than 22 other well to do countries. I have never heard that point brought up as we are always told the US does this and does more than any other country.
Mike, that stat comes from the book Rambam’s Ladder, which I love. Sometimes the reality does not match the perception (in many areas of my life). Have a fab holy day…
Loved the tip about Frankincense and Spruce Essential Oils. May go buy! Vee in Herts X
Your newsletters are much more than a post. I look forward to them. I love “your way” with words Alan…I really do. Your very sweet.
Hi – thank you – enjoyed the Newsletter this morning (from 14/11/11). I shall experiment with Pomodoro – appreciate any new ideas on using time so I don’t feel like time is using me! Love from Vee in Herts X
I also look forward to your posts, Alan. I’m really loving the Nia workouts, I met a couple the other night that was interested in learning too…and now the Five Tibetans to explore, thank you. I’m really enjoying learning, very exciting. Much love!
Alan, I look forward to your articles. But today’s video DARE, was deeply thought provoking. I felt all their hesitations to step forward, but yet, was excited and felt powerful when they chose the first step to move forward. Very few articles or video have that kind of impact for me. Until you next articles. Sincerely, Susie
Good stuff today. I am especially impressed with your TWO BOXERS! Same here. Once you have this breed I don’t think you could have any other.
has anyone told “little ole’ you” how absolutely, f___’ing BRILLIANT you are, Alan? You amaze me with every newsletter! I am especially impressed with the company you keep in the co-authored book you and Peter co-created, Healing The Heart of the World together, along with Prince Charles, John Gray, Caroline Myss, Jean Shinoda Bolen, George Leonard, and Fritjof Capra.
If you ever want to bring your BRILLIANCE to Dallas, I want to share you and your wisdom with the enlightened community in Big D! Lemme know when you are ready!
DEAR AD — Wow – This was an especially powerful communication from you -
The inspiration to eat better and walk more and remember aroma therapy and
feel the moment – be aware of and celebrate the wind and sun while walking!!
I am always GRATEFUL for YOU and your TEACHINGS!
Brian
Brian, Thank you for reading and taking the time to share your passion and enthusiasm…Shine on my friend. ad
Alan, I appreciated your reminder about being in the present moment.
Your fun-loving approach to spiritual practice kept me reading!
Thanks for the great tips.
Shine,
Grace
Your newsletters, which I love, used to come addressed to “Dear Susan”, and they felt like you were personally chatting with me. Now they come addressed to “Dear Subscriber”, which is far less intimate and personal. I’d like it better if you could go back to having my name in the greeting!
I Love You Alan …you have been such an inspiration to me since our time at the Winters school …not a day goes by, nor someone I touch that reminds me of you..I think of you always and send my love to you ..Thank You..
You are so amazing and so appreciated! Thanks for being you, the individual unique miraculous creative genius that you are. Thanks!
Robert, Thank you for your kind words. I am grateful for the life I am given…and the chance to share it with you! Shine on, my friend! ad
Just a quick comment on your “Lowly Squat” tip – exercising these muscles comes in really handy when using a variety of toileting facilities in foreign lands!
Kristi, That goes without saying. Having been to rural China, squatting without touching anything is a very good thing
. ad
Gracias!!!! I needed that e-mail to remind me that following one’s path is a process not an end product.
Martina
Martina, I too need these little reminders; the tao, the way, it is the delight of “traveling” I’m looking for…because there never really is any “getting there.” There is always more to the journey (in this world and the next, and the next, and the next…). ad
Alan, I always look forward to your ‘posts’ – fascinating insights that are really useful! There is a certain ‘quality’ to the work which is both uplifting and truly helpful, thank you so much for all the love and wisdom that you share so freely with us. Couldn’t do without you! Marie
Marie, Thank you!
I am happy to be of service. And I couldn’t do it with out you either. ad
